About me

Now that it's the weekend and I have a moment to myself, I'd like to give a little more information about me.  I'm a busy wife and mom of two little girls (ages two and four).  I decided 1.5 years ago that life was too precious to spend it being miserable in an IT job.  What I really wanted to do was help people.  I wanted to help people make positive changes in their lives and be able to help them meet their health and wellness goals.

With the support of my family, I took a leap of faith, quit my job, and enrolled in the Fitness Trainer program at Clark College.  I have loved every class and feel like this is what I am meant to be doing.  I'm currently in my last year in the program, because ACE Group Fitness Instructor last summer, and I've been having a blast teaching Aquafit and Cycle classes at LA Fitness.  I LOVE IT!

I will finish the Fitness Trainer program this spring, and will start with Wellness Coaching in the fall.

My interests lie in wellness coaching, eating well & weight loss (these are not mutually exclusive), muscle gain, cross training, functional fitness, cross fit, cycling, swimming, flexibility and mobility.  I believe exercise does NOT have to take place in a gym with dumbbells and machines.  Fitness can be fun, creative, and outdoors!

Stay tuned for future blog posts talking about good health, wellness, and exercise
